As a staff accountant you will be responsible for assisting with month end close, audit preparation and financial reporting. You will be hands on with account and bank reconciliations, working with operational accounting, making journal entries and working in the general ledger. You will work with some of the best and brightest in the accounting field learning directly from them and gaining exposure to a large ERP package and learning both GAAP and IFRS. How you will make an impact - Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on - Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives - Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll - Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request - Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation - Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision - Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation - Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation - Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations - Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP - Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable - Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments- Expertise in bank reconciliations - Account reconciliation experience desired - Microsoft Excel experience - Proficiency in general ledger - Proficient with spreadsheets and databases - Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment - Skilled with ERP systems - Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision - Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills - Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills - Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases - Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines - Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast paced environment - 1+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience or strong internship experience - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or EconomicsRobert Half Finance & Accounting, the world's leader in specialized financial staffing, provides exciting full-time opportunities in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more.
