Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a temporary Human Resources Generalist who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. The Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day human resource functions, particularly in the areas of recruiting, employee relations, compliance tracking and reporting, unemployment administration, HR operations tracking and reporting, benefits administration and addressing all employee questions in these and other areas related to HR. The HR Generalist works collaboratively with the Sr. HR Business Partner to improve the customer service level at the entities supported by assessing processes and programs and working to refine those processes and programs. The HR Generalist also supports managers and employees by providing training in various areas, including but not limited to Workday, the electronic Performance Dialogue Process in Halogen, and Kronos. The HR Generalist conducts new employee orientation at the nonacute entities and is the backup for employee orientation at the acute care entities. The HR Generalist also assists with basic HR tasks as necessary, including answering the phone, greeting visitors,completing employment verifications, etc.

Qualified candidates will possess:

•\tBachelor's degree in HR or a related field
•\tTwo to four years of HR experience
•\tBasic knowledge and understanding of HR practices and federal/state employment labor laws
•\tExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
•\tStrong interpersonal and customer service skills
•\tAbility to work independently in a multi-task environment
•\tSkilled in using Windows Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), the Internet and e-mail programs such as GroupWise and Outlook)
•\tExperience using an HRIS, preferably Workday
