  • For the GS-13: You must have demonstrated in your resume and responses to questions, at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience includes experience in having independently conducted microeconomic analyses of individual-level survey or administrative data to analyze outcomes related to employment (or other similar areas of microeconomics such as health or education) using advanced level of programming in statistical software programs such as Stata, SAS, or R, statistical models and multivariate techniques involving demographic (e.g., age, gender, race, ethnicity, national origin) and socioeconomic variables (e.g., income, education, employment status, work experience) as statistical controls; and having produced written and oral products (e.g., peer-review journal articles, working papers, conference presentations) based on such microeconomic analyses.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    This position requires a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Economics. Candidates who have not yet obtained their PhD degree must indicate (in their CV or elsewhere in their application materials) that they will complete all requirements for their PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Economics by July 27, 2019.

    Combination of education and experience: A combination of PhD level education, and specialized experience as described above, that together meet the qualification requirements for this position.

    Candidates who are selected for the position based on education must provide documentation of completing all requirements for a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree prior to or within 3 months of entering on duty.

    Relocation expenses will not be paid.
