Background or Security Investigation: This is a critical sensitive position which requires a background investigation.

You must have one year of specialized experience at the NH-1101-II (GS-11) grade level in Federal service or an equivalent position in the civilian sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities: Successfully perform the
duties of the position. You must demonstrate experience 1) developing acquisition strategies; 2) planning, establishing, and reviewing contracts; or 3) preparing procurement request packages.

Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience for this grade level.
