Job Description Legal Education and Development Manager sought for large, international law firm. This position is charged with the administration and oversight of new hire orientation and integration, the employee review process, legal education and development programs including the administration of CLE and attorney admissions status as well as practice area-specific training and the implementation and advancement of initiatives in the area of diversity, leadership, mentoring, morale and alumni engagement. This position is also responsible for specialized research and benchmarking, budgeting and the administration of firm sponsorships. The position will work in collaboration with the firm's diversity, pro bono, legal education, alumni engagement, CareerLink and administrative departments to help develop and implement those initiatives. Duties include but are not limited to: Provide strategic direction and implementation for attorney training and development initiatives, evaluate and assess all aspects of professional development programs; manage CLE; oversee management and leadership trainings; monitor compliance with CLE requirements and oversee CLE accreditation for in-house training programs; track and administer attorney admissions and maintain admissions status; manage annual associate review, develop and implement effective mentoring programs; manage new associate and lateral orientation programs; support the firm's diversity initiatives with designated activities; prepare annual departmental goals and budget; approve training expenses and other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Best candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of seven years of management experience in a law firm or professional service industry, preferably with strategic recruitment and professional development experience. Must have strong interpersonal skills, supervisory and communication skills, project management and change management experience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must also be able to work effectively with all levels of management. Familiarity with survey and statistical reporting is required. Additional Information NRI is an equal opportunity employer.
