  • OPM Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions in conjunction with the Individual Occupational Requirements for DOT/FAA Airway Transportation Systems Specialist.

    Well qualified applicants at the FV-G pay band will document extensive knowledge and skill in the operation, repair, installation, analysis, maintenance, troubleshooting, modification, and certification on all or some ENVIRONMENT CONTROL systems such as:

    • Electronic Control & Monitoring Systems (Innovation Network (INET), BACKNET, Central Control and Monitoring System (CCMS)), Power Conditioning Systems Equal to or Greater than 50 KW, Engine Generators Equal to or Greater than 100 KW, Industrial Control/Indicators/Records, Industrial-based Heating/Ventilating & Air Conditioning Systems, Chillers
    • Qualified applicants at the FV-G pay band must document 1 year of specialized work experience, equivalent to at least the next lower level, that demonstrates an extensive knowledge of basic electricity and electronic theory; aptitude for solving mathematical problems (algebra, trigonometry); knowledge and ability to use tools, materials, and various types of specialized test equipment for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing of equipment such as :
    • Civil Engineering, Visual Navigational Aids (e.g., Visual Approach Slope Indicator (VASI), Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI)), Power Conditioning Systems Less than 50 KW, Home-based Heating/Ventilating & Air Conditional Systems, Boilers, Power Distribution Systems, Airport Approach Lighting Systems (e.g., ALS, MALS), Alternate Power Generation Systems (Nuclear, Hydro), Uninterruptable Power Supply Equal to or Greater than 1KW, Engine Generators less than 100 KW
