  • To qualify at the GS-07 grade level:
    You qualify for the GS-07 grade level if you possess one of the following:

    Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:
    • Managing inventory using an automated tracking system or database;
    • Developing and maintaining a knowledge of seized property laws and regulations;
    • Tracking and managing a variety of property, inventory or supplies
    OR

    Education: Possess a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement or 1 academic year of graduate education. To qualify under Superior Academic Achievement, you must have completed the requirements for a bachelor's degree with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, class standing in the upper third of a graduating class or major subdivision, or membership in a national scholastic honor society.

    OR

    Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of successfully completed post-high school education and experience. This will be calculated using your resume and official/unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.

    To qualify at the GS-09 grade level:
    You qualify for the GS-09 grade level if you possess one of the following:

    Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:
    • Providing support to a seized property management function by locating physical storage facilities;
    • Accounting for seized property through an automated system;
    • Preparing reports for management or court cases
    OR

    Education: Possess a master's degree (or equivalent graduate degree such as a L.L.B/J.D.) or 2 academic years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.

    OR

    Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of successfully completed graduate education and experience. This will be calculated using your resume and official/unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

    We will review your resume and supporting documentation to ensure you meet the basic qualification requirements. If you meet the minimum qualifications, your experience, education and training will be rated using an Assessment Questionnaire. The questions are related to the following fundamental competencies (or Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) needed to perform the duties of this job:

    Based on your responses, you will receive a score from the Assessment Questionnaire between 70 and 100.

    Consideration will be given to performance appraisals and incentive awards as an indicator of quality of prior experience; no points will be assigned.

    Those applicants who score the highest will be referred to the hiring manager and may be called for an interview. Failure to complete the interview may result in removal from further consideration.
