This position is charged with developing rich multimedia content that enhances the Kennedy Center's digital offering. The primary role will be executing and coordinating the daily activities of the nightly millennium stage broadcast.

Duties and Responsibilities:

50% Camera operation, multi-cam direction and post-production for live programming, including Millennium Stage and other video initiatives.

15% Ensure consistent quality of processes and content as related to the Millennium Stage nightly broadcast, including but not limited to: images, archiving, tagging, pre and post production and branding.

15% Remain abreast of changing multimedia technologies, software, standards, and best practices. Educate fellow staff on those changes, primarily as related to Millennium Stage

10% Coordinate Multimedia staffing for daily Millennium Stage broadcasts, train new staff on procedures and advise Executive Producer, Live Programming on staffing. Meet with key Programming and Production staff to coordinate performance needs and details.

10% Manage and maintain multimedia equipment, software, training materials and content, primarily as related to Millennium Stage. Encode and manage multimedia content, primarily as related to Millennium Stage.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in film, television or multimedia production.
• Minimum of three years working in multi-project delivery for agency, studio or television production environment
• Minimum two years producing and directing audio and video projects of 1-120 minutes, with multi camera capture, advanced audio and extensive post-production work.
• Minimum two years maintaining multimedia equipment (cameras, encoders, switchers, etc.)

Minimum Skills and/or Knowledge Required

• Must possess a strong understanding of live performance video capture and video live streaming
• Must possess advanced knowledge in the following areas: filming, editing, live video streaming.
• Must have intermediate working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, including multi-camera editing and audio editing
• Must have advanced technical knowledge of signal flow and equipment troubleshooting.
• Must have strong knowledge of and interest in changing industry standards and emerging technologies
• Must be willing to work flexible hours. Daily broadcasts and other recording/broadcasting activities will require weekend and evening work.
• Must be able to effectively communicate and work within a team.
• Must have ability to meet changing demands and to adapt to frequently changing priorities.
• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be an independent and creative worker, able to juggle multiple priorities, communicate clearly with a variety of individuals, and be flexible under time pressure.
• Must be able to meet aggressive deadlines.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Proficient in lighting and microphone techniques
• Proficient with current multimedia hardware, software and standards.
• Proficient with live streaming on YouTube and Facebook or equivalent
• Experience training individual workers a plus
• Knowledge of the performing arts or classical music a plus
• Multi-track audio editing experience a plus
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.

Physical Demands

Carrying, loading/unloading, setup and strike of audio and video equipment for on location and studio captures. Movement of editing suite equipment, including but not limited to computers, screens, consoles

The noise level in the work environment is studio and performing arts industry standards for office, editing and performance.
