    The Selective Placement Factor for this position is: Experience working with complex budget concepts, principles, practices and methods; and the framework within which Federal budget administration must operate to develop and consolidate or edit budget justifications and reports acceptable by OMB requirements.

    You may qualify based on your experience, as described below:

    For GS-14: Do you possess one year specialized experience equivalent to at least the Federal GS-13 level? The Specialized Experience for this position is: develops and formulates the annual budget and cost estimates, which translates the programs and capabilities identified in the multi-year program into the annual budget request. Prepares, reviews, and recommends to the management for approval, material for all budgetary purposes including presentation, execution, and reporting of budget activities for senior leadership and others. Coordinates timely completion of major projects. Schedules meetings, sets due dates, collects, and reviews requested information, compiles final package, briefs supervisor, and distributes final product.



    You will be rated on the following Competencies as part of the assessment questionnaire for this position:

    IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.     Receiving Service Credit for Earning Annual (Vacation) Leave: Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee. VA may offer newly-appointed Federal employee's credit for their job-related non-federal experience or active duty uniformed military service.
