  • Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
  • Employee may be required to work short/no-notice overtime
  • Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station to perform temporary duty assignments traveling on military and/or commercial aircraft.
  • Must demonstrate sound security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information.

  • Incumbent may be subject to "other duties as assigned" as it relates to additional duties or at the discretion of the immediate supervisor
  • Polygraph: Incumbent may be required to undergo a polygraph examination.
  • Bachelor's degree and previous project/program management experience is required and a Master's degree is highly desirable.

  • SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include:the ability to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and governing directives, and the knowledge of Quality Assurance principles, practices, and techniques.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
    1. Comprehensive knowledge of laws, principles, policies, and practices of systems Acquisition and Program Management; and of security policies and practices protecting classified and sensitive information
    2. Extensive knowledge of business, industrial management, contracting procedures, technical concepts, and production practices evaluating contractor proposals and activities; and applicable safety practices for the work environment of this position.
    3. Practical knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of the Defense, Air Force, and other entities governing, interfacing with, and/or influencing the systems acquisition process and integrated life cycle management
    4. Skilled at establishing and maintaining good relationships with individuals and groups within the office as well as outside the immediate work unit; and at planning, organizing, and directing teamwork, and negotiations with management where proposals involve substantial resources, require extensive modifications to program documents, established procedures, and/or may be in conflict with customer desires
    5. Ability to plan, organize, and manage critical aspects of research, development, production, and support of subsystems or equipment, and integrate, analyze, and manage a variety of acquisition functions, and personnel in support of the process.
    6. Ability to gather and analyze a variety of program information, make sound judgments concerning program progress, and effectively communicate recommendations orally and in writing to higher organizational management and contractors with technical accuracy.


    PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

    VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
