You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies: 1) Attention to Detail -thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail; 2) Customer Service - worked with IT internal and external customers assessing their needs, and resolving their problems; 3) Oral Communication - making clear and convincing oral presentations; listening to others, and responding appropriately; 4) Problem Solving - analyzing IT complex problems; determining accuracy and relevance of information; utilizing sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
Have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 in the Federal government or equivalent experience elsewhere, which includes at the minimum: developing information system security procedures or plans (i.e. incident response, contingency), assessing and remediating security and privacy controls in accordance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST); implementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process or parts of the RMF; identifying system vulnerabilities, and auditing security controls.
CTAP/ICTAP must exceed minimum qualifications.
A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar certification is highly desirable.

The full performance level of this position is GS-13. This is a cybersecurity position.
