    A. A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees

    AND

    B. At least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics,
    industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management. (This requirement can be obtained within the
    bachelor's degree or in addition to the degree).

    NOTE: The education requirements listed above apply only to individuals entering DoD 1102 positions on or after October 1, 2000. Current civilian personnel in DoD, who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000, are exempt from meeting this requirement. Current military members who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS-1102 on or before September 30, 2000, are also exempt from meeting this requirement.

    You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

    A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
    • Implement a quality assurance process for reviewing contract files
    • Analyze metrics for reporting and maintenance of contracting records
    • Identify/report problem areas to make recommendations on effectiveness on the contracting process
    • Administer a Government Purchase Card Program
    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

    CRITICAL ACQUISITION POSITION (CAP).
    Selectee for this position will be required to sign a written agreement to remain, for a minimum of three years, in the federal service in this critical acquisition position.

    ACQUISITION POSITION: This position requires Acquisition Workforce Level III Certification prior to hiring is not essential but must be accomplished within 24 months after entry into this position.

    Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation.

Candidates may require extensive training and/or orientation in order to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position.
