We are currently looking for an Agile Coach / Scrum Master to join one of engagements on our commercial side. This position will be located onsite with our client in Washington, DC with some travel to Herndon, VA. The project entails a major initiative known as Life of Loan, a multiyear initiative to develop and integrate with a highly custom software platform in order to improve analysis of lender credit, customer service, customer engagement, sponsor assessment, risk management, and operations. The initiative will eventually permeate all functions of the Multifamily segment. This position is at first an Agile Coach, and then a Scrum Master, advising and serving two development teams. The role will also manage the efforts of other team members.

Responsibilities:
  • Train teams on the agile methodology and oversee the development of agile teams to ensure effective outcomes for the Life of Loan effort
  • Guide teams in best practices for implementing agile and encourage team members/executives to embrace the agile method
  • Recommend tools and training so that the teams can use agile to its full potential
  • Serve as Scrum Master for two technology teams currently working for another Vendor (daily stand-ups, reporting to management, removing blockers for team members)
  • Work with Technology Team members and architects in a high-energy environment

Required Skills :
  • Certified Scrum Master with at least 5+ years of project management experience in an agile environment
  • Must be a team player and be able to build positive working relationships with team members and project managers/Directors that encourage open communication and a supportive team environment
  • Must be a proven resource who can learn the business process right away and focus on delivery
  • Must be able to come up with unique ways of motivating team members, winning over managers, and removing blockers
  • Agile experience building complex business applications
  • Experience with sprint planning, grooming, and retrospective meetings
  • Prior experience conducting user acceptance testing
  • Experience with Agile toolset; JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence
  • Exceptional organizational skills, analytical skills
  • Exceptional communication skills and client presence
  • BA or BS in Business Management, or Information Systems or equivalent work experience required
  • Ability to work within the US without sponsorship

Preferred Skills :
  • Certified Agile Coach (ICE-AC)
  • Multifamily/commercial real estate/mortgage industry experience a plus
  • Diversity of clients and industries a plus
