Candidates must have a Ph.D. in a STEM or STEM Education field OR a Master's degree in a STEM or STEM Education field plus after award of the Master's degree, two or more years of successful research, research administration, and/or managerial experience pertinent to the position.  

Highly desirable candidates will have experience and in-depth knowledge in specialty areas of engineering and/or science education at the undergraduate level. In-depth knowledge includes basic STEM or STEM education research, and science policy with the ability to gather, evaluate, analyze, and synthesize technical and scientific information and data for reports, correspondence, procedural documents, publications, and presentations.

This position is outside the competitive civil service.
