Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess a bachelor's or higher degree in operations research OR have successfully completed a bachelor's or higher degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics and at least 3 of the 24 semester hours are in calculus.
This position would support one or more of the programs within the US Navy's Program Executive Officer for Enterprise Information Systems (PEO(EIS)). Frequent travel within the National Capital Regions commuting area may be required as PEO (EIS)'s main office is located in Arlington, VA however, the program office within PEO (EIS) are spread between Arlington, VA, the Washington Navy Yard, DC, Suitland, MD, and other locations in the National Capital Region.
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and requires additional education, training and experience. This position has been identified as a Career Field Business Cost Estimator at Level III.
