Sentara Healthcare is currently recruiting for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to work as a Pharmacy I/V Technician in support of operations at our Sentara Home Care Pharmacy in Chesapeake, VA. This is a Full-time (40hrs/wk) Day shift position.

Pharmacy IV Tech experience preferred

Responsibilities:

Prepares medications under the direction of a pharmacist. Measure, mix, count out, label, record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders. Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient focused and cost efficient drug therapy. Responsible for maintaining compliance under regulation guidelines. Performs tasks that require higher level of competency, such as performing pharmaceutical calculations and operating automated compounding devices.

High School Grad or Equivalent

Required: Pharmacy Technician - 1 year
