Job Details

The Kennedy Center is looking for fill part-time customer sales positions (Flex Operators) in the Instant Charge department. We are looking to fill the positions with friendly and positive customer service oriented individuals who have the ability to multi-task, and with great speed of service. We are looking for candidates that work well in a dynamic environment, have flexible schedules, and excellent interpersonal skills!

Duties and Responsibilities:

80% The position will consist of handling customer sales transactions. Managing large amounts of inbound calls in a timely manner. Communicating effectively with customers and coworkers. Source new sales through inbound calls. Sales operators maintain a patient demeanor that shines through the call.

20% Work in the Information office which consists of giving customers general information on all events held at the Kennedy Center.

Education/Experience:

  • High school degree, general education degree or equivalent

  • Know of customer service principles and practices

Minimum Skills and/or Knowledge Required:

  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively

  • Problem analysis and problem-solving

  • Customer service orientation

  • Communication skills both verbal and written
