Interlibrary Loan Student Coordinator

The George Mason University Libraries is accepting applications for the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Student Coordinator (Library Specialist II) to join the Resource Licensing and Delivery department. Under the direction of the ILL Lending Coordinator, the individual in this position will support both borrowing and lending services, supervise ILL students, and serve as part of the larger ILL team to support the research needs of George Mason University patrons and our library partners from around the world. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree or significant combination of education and equivalent library experience * Experience providing interlibrary loan and/or consortial lending services * Experience supervising students or part-time employees * Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with current library systems and software (such as Alma, WorldCat Resource Sharing, and ILLiad) and research resources (such as EBSCO, JSTOR, ProQuest, etc.) * Strong customer service skills * Effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for providing customer service in a diverse, academic environment * Aptitude for accurate and detail-oriented work * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, production and service-oriented environment * Physical ability to bend and reach overhead, to grasp and move library materials, to move and unpack packages and bins (up to 40 pounds), and to push loaded book trucks Preferred Qualifications: * Experience scanning documents for interlibrary loan, using Bookeye scanner and BSCAN-ILL software * Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of copyright and fair use as they relate to ILL and document delivery
