Job Summary:Westat is seeking a Research Assistant with an in interest in supporting investigators, project directors, and other project staff on clinical research projects.
Job Responsibilities:· Providing administrative research support to project teams. · Conducting literature searches and researching new technologies. · Reviewing and editing presentations using PowerPoint. · Developing and revising study procedures and materials. · Developing procedures and managing project-specific websites. · Assisting in meeting planning; recording and producing meeting minutes. · Entering data into databases and performing quality control checks. · Maintaining project documentation in web-based systems. Basic qualifications:
· A bachelor's degree in the life sciences or health related field is required.
Qualified candidates must have: excellent written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; strong computer skills (particularly with PowerPoint and other MS Office programs); good organizational skills and an eye for detail; the ability to work well both in a team environment and independently; strong English language and grammar skills; and experience with websites and databases.
