Your role in helping us shape the future:

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, innovative, and driven individual to join our team.  As Vice President of Global Channel Management & Sales, you will lead a team of experts to recruit and manage Solutions Partners that leverage Intelsat platforms and capacities to deliver specific services in specified markets/verticals.  You will liaise with internal customer segments: media, broadband, mobility and government as well as the Global Sales, Marketing, and Pricing teams and others to create the internal infrastructure to manage Solutions Partners in world class fashion.  Under your leadership, revenues through channel partners (current and new) will be increased; the yield / margin for channel partner programs will be improved; and there will be a demonstrated ROI for co-op marketing programs.


Are you up to the challenge?

  • Provide more defined application solutions and generate increased revenues through the qualification and detailed management of Solutions Partners (SP).
  • Build an SP ecosystem - create the internal infrastructure, tools and processes that will allow Intelsat to engage and manage SPs in world-class fashion.
  • Work with each Business Unit to identify and on-board SPs - maximize alignment through SP to End-User requirements to reduce channel friction.  Actively manage the on-boarding and evolution of our SPs (and the program).   This will be first-generation activity for what will become a broad and robust network of highly defined channel partners.
  • Proactive SP relationship management - evolving the Intelsat SP program and identifying and prioritizing revenue opportunities, co-op marketing plans and market engagement funnel (sales funnel). 
  • Championing SP solutions to Global Sales - ensuring that the global sales team has pro-active data to best determine if/when/where SP services can be utilized to further an Intelsat End User account plan.


Can you drive these processes?

Develop drive and align teams around the Solution Partners strategy worldwide; Understand changing market dynamics and adapt strategies as needed.  Successfully develop programmatic criteria to prospect and recruit Solution Partners.


You should definitely have:

  • 10 years+ of progressively responsible experience leading channel management / solution partner teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, or a related field
  • Experience working in the satellite industry; possesses strategic relationships with the major satellite distributors.
  • Demonstrated success in developing SP programs.    
  • Experience with conducting business across the globe with specific expertise in distribution strategies and distribution management programs.
  • Matrix Management:  Ability to operate in a matrix environment
  • Global team management:  Clear experience and ability working with a globally dispersed team; demonstrated experience in sales management - leading and managing high-performance sales teams.
  • Effective communications skills:  Effectively communicate “up and down” Intelsat and Solution Partner organizations


It would be nice if you had:

  • Change management experience in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • An MBA or a Masters' degree in business or comparable discipline
