Fairfax County Office to Prevent and End Homelessness is seeking a Homeless Management Information system (HMIS) User Support Specialist. Must demonstrate the desire to learn about or have previous experience with homeless service provision and an understanding of client confidentiality issues. HMIS titled ServicePointTM, is a web-based data management tool used by 18 public and non-profit social service agencies in Fairfax County with more than 350 users. Will be responsible for all aspects of training, providing technical assistance to agencies, reporting, data quality and monitoring system users. Must have strong interpersonal and motivational skills. Provides technical assistance by telephone, email, and face-to-face contact is essential. All duties must be performed in a professional and timely manner, in an office environment where security, responsibility and accountability are of the highest importance. Local travel, as well as travel in the Fairfax County area, is required.

NOTE: This is an E-Status position. This position may not exceed working 1560 hours per calendar year and typically works up to 30 hours/week. Employment Standards EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to possession of a bachelor's degree in business, computer science or a field related to the department where the information technology services are being used; plus six months of experience analyzing business processes and/or developing/maintaining the main business system, technical platform or a related system.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background and driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience using ServicePointTM, other web-based human services data systems, and Business Intelligence or Qlik reporting products is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
