    Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-7, in the Federal Service. 

    Specialized Experience is defined as experience in administering provisions of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 and related laws.  Specialized Experience includes: reviewing and analyzing Special Reports to determine if filing standards are met while ensuring that pdf files and data are formatted in correct protocol for web disclosure. 

    Substitution of Education for Experience: Applicants may qualify on the basis of education for the GS-9 grade level.

    To qualify for the GS-9 grade level based upon education, applicants must have 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree.

    Combining Education and Experience: Equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements at the GS-09 grade level.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    Any applicant falsely claiming an academic degree from an accredited school will be subject to actions ranging from disqualification from federal employment to removal from federal service.

    The information you provide may be verified by a review of your work experience and/or education, by checking references and through other means (ex. interview).  Your evaluation may also include a review by an HR Specialist or panel and may include other assessment tools (ex. interview, structured interview, written test, work sample, etc).  The examining Human Resources Office (HRO) makes the final determination concerning applicant ratings.  Your resume MUST provide sufficient information to substantiate your vacancy question responses.  If not, the HRO may amend your responses to more accurately reflect the level of competency indicated by the content of your resume.
