We are seeking a Financial Manager to join our Corporate Accounting Team at our Corporate headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven accounting professional to be part of management team of Accounting & Finance Department for a large Engineering and Architectural firm. Reviews project financial performance for revenue recognition;Facilitates month end close in a timely manner;Reviews financial reports to identify issues; Communicate with business unit managers and project managers to resolve financial issues;Assists in treasury management including banking transactions;Review corporate tax schedules as needed;Oversees financial reporting for all joint ventures;Manages assigned accounting staff, including workflow analysis;Ensures accounting policies are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, Federal Acquisition Regulations and tax requirements; Reviews and keeps up-to-date the policies and procedures relating to accounting areas assigned; Participates in the development, modification and review of accounting systems, reporting methods, and controls. Coordinates accounting functions with IT as necessary;Other areas as needed to support corporate strategic financial goals.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting P.A. preferred but not required10- 15 years of direct experience performing accounting and financial reporting Minimum 5 years of team leading experienceExperience with Government Contracting and FAR regulationsStrong analytical, problem solving and organizational skillsAbility to make independent judgmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
