Newspaper reporter
Reporter sought for public health newspaper. The American Public Health Association is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative team player for its award-winning monthly newspaper, The Nation’s Health. Duties include creating newspaper stories related to public health and association activities, encompassing research, writing, copy-editing and fact-checking. Knowledge of health, photography, social media, podcasting and basic web skills beneficial. Successful candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle range of tasks simultaneously and work hands-on with all aspects of the newspaper and its related products. Journalism degree and at least three years professional news writing experience required.
Hours: 35 hours a week, full-time, Monday thru Friday. Number of openings: 1.
