Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, and will typically be demonstrated by working at, or immediately below the level of the job being advertised, for a year or more. The previous work experience must clearly demonstrate the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience required for this position is:
- Experience with Intelligence Oversight policies, doctrine, and processes.
- Experience with Intelligence disciplines.
- Experience formulating decisions or make recommendations on changing guidance.
- Experience communicating verbally and in writing to wide audiences to include GO/SES and technical specialists.
- Experience with the development and presentation of comprehensive assessments results with supporting documentation to substantiate problems, establish possible root causes, and recommend corrective action.
Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:
1. Communication
2. Interpreting and Developing Intelligence Oversight
3. Coordinating and Conducting Intelligence Oversight Inquiries

Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET w/SCI security clearance.
Subject to pre-employment drug testing and periodic drug testing thereafter.
Overtime/compensatory time may be required to accommodate operational needs of the organization.
May be subject to random DoD counterintelligence scope polygraph if assigned to programs or duty locations requiring such.
Travel in the performance of temporary assignments may be required.
The position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position.
Applicants selected from this announcement may be required to serve a two-year trial period.
If selected, Federal employees currently serving in the competitive service must acknowledge that they will voluntarily leave the competitive service by accepting an offer of employment for a DCIPS excepted service positions.
If selected, non-DCIPS candidates must acknowledge in writing that the position they have been selected for is in the excepted service and covered by DCIPS.
Selection under this appointment authority does not confer civil service competitive status.
