Digital & Lifecycle Marketing Strategist

We are searching for Digital & Lifecycle Marketing Strategist to design and lead customer experience/lifecycle marketing programs for our Washington DC team. It is required that you have both the technical ability to understand complex marketing ecosystems and the platforms that facilitate them. The ideal candidate will be able succinctly explain these systems and best practices to clients and internal stakeholders and guide technical teams in the creation of multi-channel, triggered ecosystems that produce measurable ROI.

This role will work closely with our strategy and account teams, as well as be supported by our data, analytics, and marketing automation teams.

Essential job functions

  • Develop journeys and detailed tactical lifecycle marketing plans guiding campaign execution, including contact cadence, segmentation and targeting, behavioral triggers, optimization, and other executional guidance.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and translate business requirements and customer insights for designers, marketing technologists, and  analysts
  • Develop custom lifecycle journeys across sales and marketing channels in collaboration with the Marketing Technology Platforms and Channels
    • Work with the marketing automation teams to create triggered, directed and organic communications ecosystems, including marketing materials, emails, landing pages, personalized URLs and digital experiences
    • Work with the analytics and data teams to utilize advanced marketing analytics to create predictive lifecycle journeys, score leads and optimize campaign performance
    • Work with the media and lead generation teams to plan lead capture and nurture campaigns that make the most of client acquisition marketing
  • Work with clients and internal teams to develop, measure and optimize the performance of customer marketing programs across email, mobile, web, social media, and other digital marketing channels.
  • Develop platform utilization and implementation strategies and be able to present said strategies both internally and to clients
  • Act as a subject matter expert, particularly in the areas of digital marketing and CX/lifecycle marketing
  • Adherence to TA’s information security standards, as outlined in company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned


Basic Skills Required

  • 3-5 years’ experience in omni-channel marketing (direct mail, email, and digital) and CX/lifecycle strategy
  • Hands-on experience as a technical and/or strategy lead with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex ideas in an understandable way
  • Experience in presenting complex ideas in a succinct manner to facilitate collaboration and gain project approvals
  • A leader and relationship builder who can provide an authoritative point of view with senior clients, while fostering partnership and collaboration with internal agency teams
  • Experience as a marketing communications lead (sending emails, direct mail, landing pages, optimization, etc.);
  • Experience using data to find solutions to problems in a business environment
  • Hands-on experience in Salesforce Sales and Marketing Clouds and/or Adobe Experience Cloud strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree (focus in Communications, Information Systems, or similar); Platform certifications a plus
