Develops, plans, and conducts analyses for use by the Department of Planning and Zoning, the Facilities Management Department, the Department of Management and Budget, and other county agencies to aid in the development and creation of new community spaces and/or to revitalize existing facilities to accommodate growth within the context of the HHS delivery system. Prepares data and staff reports related to HHS planning and capital facilities that guide comprehensive plan amendments and other revitalization projects. Leads the HHS Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) program by collecting and analyzing data and partnering with all of the HHS agency contacts with respect to facility-related priorities and needs. Manages HHS facility emergency operations to ensure that all employees at co-located HHS sites are adequately trained and prepared (through drills) to meet critical needs. Through the delivery of presentations to various county and community stakeholders on issues related HHS facilities and land use planning, ensures that short- and long- range comprehensive plans to address the HHS delivery system needs are met through innovative planning and integrated into the land development review process. Maintains collaborative relationships with community leaders and staff in departments throughout Fairfax County's HHS agencies.

Employment Standards MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following: graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a planning-related field; and five years of experience in a planning-related field (preferably in the specific area of assignment). A masters degree may be substituted for one year of the required experience.

The years of experience should include a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the specific area of assignment, e.g., zoning evaluation, zoning administration, zoning enforcement, public facility, environmental and/or land use planning.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience leading countywide facilities planning initiatives. Capital facilities project management experience. Experience with human service and/or health care facility planning.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Visual acuity is required to read computer data. Must be able to operate keyboard-driven equipment. May be required to lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to travel to attend meetings, program reviews and trainings. Must posses the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

Panel Interview, may include a practical exercise and an oral presentation.
