Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking Cyber Systems Engineers of various levels to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Annapolis Junction, MD. Roles and Responsibilities: Work includes system design, development, delivery, and maintenance in a number of mission-critical domains, including analytics development, information sharing, data transformation and dataflow, malware analysis, and knowledge management. Duties of the System Engineer include analyzing user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities. Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies. Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations. Develops technical documentation. Develops system architecture and system design documentation. Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below. NGCIMSMD This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4 Basic Qualifications for a Principal Level (Level 3): Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed. Six (6) years experience as a Systems Engineer, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity (as below) is required. Basic Qualifications for a Sr Principal Level (Level 4): Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed. Nine (9) years experience as a Systems Engineer, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity (as below) is required. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional systems engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required. Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration. Experience in as many of the following areas is preferred: Experience in developing system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large-scale programs Experience using Agile development methodologies and processes Experience performing and providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration and testing of complex enterprise hardware/software systems Experience leading, planning, conducting, and coordinating the activities of engineering teams Experience solving varied technical/scientific problems, and generating and reviewing designs for technical accuracy, completeness and appropriateness in light of objectives, budget, and schedule Experience leading technical design reviews, conducting system overview briefings and providing guidance to management and leadership Experience defining and tracking project milestones, analyzing project schedules, and reporting technical variances Experience driving innovation, performing trade studies, and leading analysis of alternatives activities Experience maintaining program roadmaps, defining emerging system requirements, and identifying new technologies for insertion into product baselines Experience leading customer acceptance and outreach activities Experience leading risk identification and mitigation activities Experience designing systems to meet Key Performance Parameters (KPP) Experience in developing documentation required to support a program's technical issues and training situations Experience advising on the security compliance posture of systems and establishing policies/procedures to support Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
