Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Annapolis Junction, MD. Roles and Responsibilities: Candidate will be part of a five person software engineering team responsible for software development and software enhancements of two large legacy Java/Oracle/Solaris-based mission-critical systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: software design, software development/enhancements, unit testing, integration, deployment, and problem diagnosis/resolution. NGCIMSMD This position can be filled with either a level 3 or a level 4 depending on qualifications. Basic Qualifications for a Level 3: Shall have seven (7) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution. Experience with high level development languages such as Java. Basic Qualifications for a Level 4: Shall have twelve (12) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution. Experience with high level development languages such as Java. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related STEM discipline from an accredited college or university is required; Four (4) years of additional Software Engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with FS Polygraph is required. Preferred Experience: Shall have six (6) years of experience developing software using the Java programming language with at least two (2) of those years in the SIGINT environment. Shall have experience with both the MS Windows and UNIX operating systems. Shall have a working knowledge of Tomcat and/or WebLogic.
