A Lead Banquet Cook is responsible for working with the chefs, cooks, and other team members in the kitchen to prepare and direct meal preparation. A lead cook helps prepare and cook food following recipes while assisting on the line when needed and with banquet functions, keeps inventory of items needed for meal service throughout the day, assists the chefs with ordering, trains and coaches team members, helps maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and other duties in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability.What will I be doing?As a Lead Cook, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standardsMaintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all timesManage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient mannerEnsure knowledge of menu and all food productsOrganize Banquet Event Orders and assist to prepare all meals for functionsStock and maintain designated food station(s)Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchenPractice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulationsPrepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as neededAssist in ordering food and supplies for the kitchenTrain, supervise and coach team membersAssist team members where needed in the kitchen, restaurant, and in banquetsProvide excellent customer service to guests of the hotel and banquet functionsGo above and beyond for our guests and VIPs in the hotelAssist with RecipesOther duties as assignedWhat are we looking for?Since being founded in 1919, Hilton has been a leader in the hospitality industry.
