Company Description: Wellfound Foods makes and distributes grab-n-go foods to Our team is on a mission to make grab-n-go foods that don t compromise quality, flavor, or taste. We currently distribute to over 43 locations in the region and produce roughly 7,000 SKUs per week. We have aggressive plans to grow our business next year. To be successful, we will require an effective and rigorously managed food safety and quality program to ensure we are delivering on our Quality Promise to practice exceptional food safety, source safe ingredients and continuously improve our training programs. The Manager of Food Safety & Quality Assurance (MFSQ) will develop, implement and enforce food safety standards, policies and programs including HACCP, SQF, regulatory audits, food safety training programs, standard operating procedures, product inspections and standardized work instructions. The MFSQ is an integral role at Wellfound that is responsible for managing our traceability program and quality systems, conducting internal food safety audits and serving as the main point of contact for all food safety and quality inquiries to and audits of the operation. Within Wellfound, the MFSQ serves as the expert on food safety and quality matters. This position reports to the Director of Operations as has no direct reports. The MFSQ s time will be spent 50% on traceability, 20% on program maintenance and enhancement, 20% on internal audits and 10% on external communications. Responsibilities include: Manage Traceability: Use existing software to record lots, input and adjust inventory, update formulas and conduct production runs to ensure start-to-finish product traceability for all Wellfound Food s items. Work with Manager of Production to ensure zero gaps in traceability. Manage Quality Systems: Inspect and audit food safety and quality plans. Develop and enhance standards to ensure regulatory compliance and the delivery of Wellfound s Quality Promise. Identify and implement corrective action to prevent recurrence and provide full documentation of investigations. Optimize Processes and Verify Compliance: Evaluate, build and optimize food safety processes across the organization to maximize efficiency while maintaining great quality of product. Verify that all procedures and policies are being complied with by team members and take action in the event they are not. Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree in Food Related Major 1-2 years of Food Safety & Quality Assurance experience A comprehensive understanding of quality systems, food safety programs, Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), GMPs, HACCP
