  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) may be required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You may be subject to random testing.
  • In order to qualify for this position, your application must provide sufficient documentation showing you possess the required educational level needed to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered.

    To qualify for the GS-04 Level: You must have successfully completed two full years of post-high school academic study, or an associate's degree, or anticipate such completion within nine months of the closing date of this announcement.
    To qualify for the GS-03 Level: You must have successfully completed one full year of post-high school academic study, or anticipate such completion within nine months of the closing date of this announcement.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

    This position has Conditions of Employment (screen-outs) which will be used to determine minimum qualifications for this position. Applicants not possessing these Conditions of Employment will be found ineligible for this position. They are:
    -United States Citizenship, and
    -18 years of age or older at time of appointment, and
    -Be able to type a minimum of 60 words per minute.

    The employment period for this position includes:
    Summer Employment Timeframe: May 13, 2019 to August 30, 2019
    Winter Employment Timeframe: December 9, 2019 to January 17, 2020

    PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY:

    Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and a current student enrolled in:
    1) A high school or home-school curriculum approved by a State or local governing body;
    2) An accredited college (including technical, vocational trade schools, two or four year colleges/universities);
    3) A graduate or professional school (e.g., law school, medical school, etc.); or
    4) A Certificate Program in a qualifying educational institution, equivalent to at least one academic year of full-time study, that is part of an accredited, college-level, technical, trade, vocational or business school curriculum. Short-term training and/or certificate programs (i.e., several two-week programs completed or class sessions attended over a period of two years) that are not required for the position or which lack sufficient academic rigor, are not considered an acceptable academic course of study.
