Our client wants candidates who are eager to learn and grow with them as they work to move their market monitoring applications to modern big data platforms in the cloud where up to 60 billion market events are being processed each day.If you are a fast learner, have a sharp mathematical and technical mind and are interested in working for one of the biggest data users in the country in a fast-paced, open source environment, our client has an immediate need for an Associate Director of UX/UI. The Associate Director will envision and establish the next-generation of User Experience at our client's organization. Responsibilities to include building and leading a team of UX designers to support Enterprise goals across a variety of products and initiatives, communicate and present across all levels of the organization, and work with multiple cross-functional teams. The Associate Director will collaborate with senior management, product management, engineering and design partners to establish a future-forward vision for both the User Experience Design group and the products they support. This highly visible role requires exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to create and implement strategic and tactical UX processes. The Associate Director will be a voice in the company who advocates and instills design thinking while standing up a UX team that gathers requirements and crafts innovative solutions that support brand consistency and cross-product cohesion.Essential Job Functions: Lead and manage large-scale and complex software products while maintaining a holistic view of the platform Establish and execute UX-centric initiatives with Enterprise-level impact Forge relationships across Division and Product lines to enhance the utilization and effectiveness of user-centered design principles Influence a culture of UX design thinking from leadership to entry level contributors across the company Champion data-informed, user-centered design where the goals of the user and the business are brought together to form sound UX solutions that support both the business and user needs Apply a future-thinking passion for user experience design and visual design to guide product cohesion and evolution Spearhead the development of design and language systems to create synergistic and consistent user experiences Lead and mentor UI/UX designers and help develop career paths and foster career growth. Translate business strategy into effective design Leads and directs group conversations, whether about UX or UX-adjacent topics. Consistently considers the holistic user experience and product overlaps in their work and is an extremely strong practitioner across multiple deliverables. Addresses potential connections and collisions between different products, features, and systems. Identifies design system gaps and inconsistencies and creates solutions that will align with the design team's overall direction and socialize this with the team. Assist with adherence to technology policies and comply with all security controls. Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Interactive Design, User Experience Design, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction, or related discipline 10+ years of related experience or equivalent training and/or work, with a minimum of 5 years leading design strategy and growing teams. Proven experience with iterative design and creative processes for both application / product and website design. Strong user experience knowledge: proficient ability to think critically and solve business problems in new and creative ways. Strong experience creating industry leading visual design by utilizing design systems, style guides, UI kits, and screen comps for websites, mobile applications, and interactive products. Proven experience establishing effective UX design processes and facilitating it's adoption throughout the organization Proven experience leveraging user research and analytics to inform design strategy and to measure impact and effectiveness of design solutions Proven experience working successfully within multidisciplinary teams or collaborative environments on challenging projects and presenting solutions effectively. Proven effectiveness pitching work and selling creative visions. Experience with mobile design and 508 Compliance is a plus. ConsultNet is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
