Analyzes, administers, and maintains telecommunications systems.Participates in the evaluation, analysis, administration and maintenance of voice, data and wireless communications systems.Reads and interprets circuit diagrams and electrical schematics.Assists in the preparation of detailed specifications and flowcharts for implementation of new internal systems or modifications to vendor systems. Coordinates installation of equipment.Installs, tests, adjusts, and troubleshoots equipment as necessary.Monitors the operations of telecommunications systems and services of vendors.Provides end-user training of telecommunications features and functionality. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.Participates in special projects as required.0-2 years of related telecommunications experience.Responsible for the planning, installation, repair, configuration and preventative maintenance of personal computers, network equipment and/or telecommunications equipment.Creates and provides instruction on the creation of customer requests for new equipment and changes to baseline systemsAnalyzes the needs of the user and recommends solutions to the hardware and/or software systemsMonitors the operations of telecommunications systems and services of vendors.Reads and interprets circuit diagrams and electrical schematicsPerforms hardware and software moves, adds, and changesProvides end-user training of telecommunications features and functionality. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigneAble to work independently of projects from start to finish, including customer requests, developing network designs based on user requirements, creating network diagrams using Visio, configuring and installing network equipment, and any follow-up documentation requirements.Excellent Communication skills and strong work ethic.Must possess appropriate current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification to be considered for employment, either CompTIA Security+ OR CCNA-Security. CompTIA Security+ is the preferred certification. Must obtain the required DoD 8570 Computing Environment (CE) Certification within six (6) months of Hire Date. The preferred Computing Environment Certification for Telecom Analysts is CCENT or higher Cisco but may include equivalent Brocade/Foundry or Juniper Certifications.Because of the sensitive nature of the work being done for this government client, all candidates must hold a TS/SCI and a Polygraph.As part of your role/function on the program, you will be granted privileged user access. Privileged Users are subject to greater scrutiny as a direct result of the significant responsibilities placed upon them. Please be aware that because of these critical duties, you will be subject to additional IT system monitoring, and supervisory evaluation to ensure continuous adherence to Privileged User processes and procedures.
