Position Summary This position is responsible for managing the accounting operations of Company's Upper Tier Parents, Subs, and Holdings legal entities. This includes (1) monthly/quarterly reconciliation and analysis of the Firm's Upper Tier entities (2) partnering with Corporate Accounting, Partnership Accounting, Equity, Tax, and Treasury to validate Upper Tier books and records (3) responsibility for quarterly/annual tax compliance of Parent, Subs, and Holdings entities (4) ownership of Firm-Owned investment reporting. This position reports to the Vice President of Corporate Accounting. Key Duties/Responsibilities Accounting Operations - 60%Review and analyze consolidated GAAP results of Firm Upper Tier Parents, Subs, and Holdings entitiesPartner with internal stakeholders (Corporate Accounting, Partnership Accounting, Equity, Tax, and Treasury) to validate GAAP and Tax reporting for Firm Upper Tier entitiesLead reporting and analysis for Firm-Owned investments. This includes actual vs. budget of Firm Investment Income, Firm CAS reporting, and set-up/accounting for ROFR investmentsOwn corporate Tax Book Code and ensure compliance with policies and proceduresTax Compliance - 30%Corporate Accounting lead for Firm Upper Tier tax complianceOwn Tax Investment Rollfowards for Firm Upper tier entities. This includes on-going monitoring and historic analysis/clean-up of balancesPrepare PBC packages for Parents, Subs, and Holdings entities to deliver to tax service providerReview Workpapers and other tax deliverablesPartnering with Firm Tax, as needed, for Firm quarterly tax estimates Various tasks and initiatives - 10%Ensure proper set-up, documentation, and funds-flow of Firm Upper Tier entities. This includes Deal Funding Chain Activity from ITR and OneStream consolidated entity setup mappingServe on various committees to support Company initiatives; manage accomplishments of agreed-upon Corporate Accounting goals and objectivesBasic Qualifications:Minimum of 8 years public accounting or private accounting experience requiredMinimum of 4-6 years of experience at the supervisory or managerial levelAccounting, Finance or business-related degree requiredProficient Microsoft Office skillsMust be local to the DC metro area or already have plans to relocate to this area soonAdditional Attributes:CPA preferredInvestran and Peoplesoft experience a plusPartnership, private equity, tax experience a plusAbility to manage and develop employeesExcellent project management and planning skillsWilling to take the lead on tasksStrong interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skills and detail orientedExcellent communication skills - both written and oralDemonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a teamAbility to understand accounting, tax and financial principals.
