  • Basic Qualifications: Successful completion of a full 4 year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a Bachelor's degree or graduate/higher level degree with major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health science or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position.

    Additional Qualifications at the GS-11 level:
    In addition, you must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 level in the Federal Government obtained in either the private or public sector; Examples of qualifying experience include: researching technology transfer licensing requirements and preparing reports of findings; responding to routine technical inquiries regarding technology transfer licensing; reviewing documents related to technology transfer license agreements for completeness and compliance with basic requirements; and compiling information for briefing reports related to technology transfer licensing issues.

    Have completed 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a related field;

    OR

    Have a combination of graduate education and experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.


    Additional Qualifications at GS-12 level:
    In addition, you must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal Government obtained in either the private or public sector. Examples of qualifying experience include: responding to inquiries regarding the legal and regulatory requirements related to technology transfer agreements, patents, or inventions; reviewing technology transfer agreements for sufficiency regarding methods and techniques, justifications, and similar matters; reviewing reports of technology transfer agreements to determine adherence to performance measures; and participating in negotiating and executing technology transfer agreements for an organization.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
