Optima Health, Health and Preventive Services, has an opening for a Clinical Dietitian for the Peninsula. This position is flex/prn and will work Monday-Friday day shift as needed.

In this position you will develop and present educational programs for both individual and groups on a variety of topics, attend health screenings, have displays and talk to individuals about life style changes, elevated blood pressure, high cholesterol and provide educational information.

Must be willing to drive to Hampton, Richmond and Charlottesville, and occasionally to Virginia Beach.

Two years recent experience required.

If Bachelor's Degree is in major other than Dietetics, must complete an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics.


Develops and presents educational programs; maintains a library of current education resources and materials; coordinates educational opportunities; provides guidance on available resources as related to diet and nutrition. Responsible for both individual and group education to promote core health improvement programs including smoking cessation, adult immunizations, heart health, cancer prevention and detection, and wise self-care.

Bachelor's Level Degree - DIETETICS

Required: Dietitian - 2 years

Required: Basic Life Support, Reg Dietitian, Reg Dietitian Nutritionist
