The CUP Supervisor is responsible for managing the Central Utility Plant (CUP). The CUP Supervisor develops and manages the CUP's planning, budgeting, and administration; directs operations and maintenance of the hospital utility systems to include the: Chillers, Condensing Hot Water Boilers, COGEN, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Generators, Switchgear, Paralleling Gear, Transformers, ATS located in the CUP, CUP's Building Management System. CUP Supervisor is responsible for the: planning, installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, hot water systems, chilled water systems, COGEN, and related building components comprising the physical environment of the CUP. Coordinates CUP functions with those of the MEP Manager; ensures a reliable utilities to the hospital; Manages the CUP's compliance requirements of state, local, federal, TJC and other jurisdictional authorities to ensure all accreditation standards and measures are met; Manages and supervises human resources/staff working in the CUP, including: providing direction to direct reports and department employees; handling employee relations; leading the development, training/education, and mentoring of all staff for improvement in achieving AHC and department goals; Assists the MEP Manager in purchasing and contracting of supplies, systems, and contractors needed for the effective operations of the CUP; and Develops. CUP Supervisor reports directly to the MEP Manager. The CUP Supervisor has direct over sight of Power Plant Engineers who man the CUP 24/7.

Qualified candidates will possess:
•\tFive (5) or more years' experience in a related field. At least three years' experience managing operations and maintenance of a Central Utility Plant (CUP) with Chillers, Condensing Boilers, Cooling Tower, Life Safety Generators, and COGEN.
•\tPreferred experience managing a CUP for an acute care hospital.
•\tHigh School or Trade/vocational School graduate.
•\tMaryland 1st Class Stationary Engineer and experience in healthcare maintenance and/or commercial plant operations.
•\tHands-on experience in performing trouble shooting, repairs and maintenance of all types of HVAC and Environmental Controls Systems not limited to Generators, Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Chillers, Boilers, & Cogen.
•\tMust have building automation experience as well prior use of a computerized preventative maintenance program.
•\tKnowledge of local and state codes necessary.
•\tWell versed computer software including MS Outlook, MS Excel, & MS Word.
