Job Summary: Responsible for re-manufacturing and daily inventory control. This individual may assist in more than one phase of production.Essential Job Duties:1. Identifies bumper cores daily for inventory.2. Separates cores based on "non-usable", which are thrown away and "usable", which are prioritized for production.3. Physically inventories entire core yard weekly.4. Assist in shipping and receiving process.5. Assist in the cleaning and straightening process.6. Assist in the welding process.7. Assist in he color coat (painting) and polishing process.8. Assist in the hand detail process.9. Assist in the machining (CNC Lathe) process.10. Assist in the powder coat process.11. Assist in the final inspection and packaging process.12. Responsible for productivity and quality control for assigned production process.13. Maintains orderliness and housekeeping of assigned work areas.14. Complies with established company policies and procedures.15. Initiate and support the continual improvement of LKQ Corporatoin quality improvement system. 16. Assumes other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:High School graduate or GED equivalent desired. Prior painting, sanding, and machining experience preferred, supplemented by on-the-job training, to learn duties, nature of work performed, procedures, work methods, to become familiar with the company's products, locations, machines and equipment, operating methods, and to attain proficiency requirements and to fully assume responsibilities of the job. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be familiar with the company's products and warehouse methods, techniques and procedures. Must be able to work in cooperation with others. Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments. Must be able to communicate effectively with others. Must have the flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends. Machines, Equipment, and Software: Lathe, sand blaster, powder coater, hand grinder, torch set, wheel straightener, and ladder. Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: This position requires individuals to constantly be on their feet except when operating machinery. Should not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights. They must be able to stand for long periods, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, climb and be able to move/lift up to 75 pounds regularly. They must be able to climb ladders, stairs and withstand heights of more than 15 feet. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Should be able to tolerate high and low temperature levels. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud
