I look forward to your response.Job Title: #4832 System Administrator III- Alexandria, VA Location: Alexandria, VA 22301 Duration: Contract | 6+ months(CTH) Responsibilities * Install, configure, and maintain SharePoint environments to current patching level no less than quarterly * Assist in design, architecture, availability, reliability, and security in current and future SharePoint environments * Perform system administrator tasks such as site creation, user training, backup and restore, performance analysis, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. * Work with development staff to provide advice and support to development efforts including intranet and Internet-facing public * Review and remediate SharePoint security findings * Review system and network configurations to validate SharePoint environmental stability * Approve and execute SharePoint changes in accordance with federal agency's change management process * Review system and network configurations to validate SharePoint environmental stability. Assist application teams with the deployment of Customer-provided content, code, or configurations within the SharePoint environment, in cases where Administrator access is required * Installation of patches that change or add new functionality within SharePoint or fix existing bugs * Control the lifecycle of all Changes. The primary objective is to enable beneficial changes with minimum disruption to SharePoint services * The installation and configuration of federation services to provide single sign on functionality for the SharePoint environment * SharePoint Server upgrade to the next major release provided by Microsoft * Site Creation/Manage/Delete (Site Sharding) * Full Restore: Restore entire SharePoint Farm Infrastructure * Full Restore: Validating that the farm infrastructure was successfully restored (SharePoint Validation) * Full Restore: Validating that the farm content was successfully restored (Content Validation) * Lifecycle Control Change: The primary objective is to enable changes to be made with minimum disruption to SharePoint services * Review SharePoint logs related to the fulfillment of an incident or request * Troubleshooting of all core SharePoint components, to include but not limited to potential issues with content, the integration with 3rd party applications or other customer configurations * Review all desired configurations and create Advanced Patching Maintenance Plan * Apply Micosoft SharePoint Server vendor provided patches and updates. * Deploy security patches in accordance with federal agency policy * Provide ongoing activity reporting as defined and agreed to in requirements definition process * Apply and validate patches for completeness and functionality * Confirm operating system functionality in federal agency Environment. * Utilize ServiceNow for issue, request tracking and reporting. * Receive and respond to ServiceNow requests and remediate in accordance with SLAs. * Receive and respond to Solarwinds alerts, incidents and remediate in accordance with SLA. * Provide 24x7x365 support for P1 and P2 incidents with on-call support during non-core business hours. * Provide support during core business hours in accordance with SLAs. * Engage vendors on behalf of federal agency for hardware maintenance and problem mitigation. * Provide capacity management. * Performance monitoring and analysis using customer provided tools * Support account administration and ad-hoc support through requestor generated tickets, subject to the change control process * Monitor and evaluate SharePoint farm capacity and performance using customer provided tools Experience Requirements * 10+ years of Microsoft SharePoint Server system administration. * Solid knowledge and experience with implementing and supporting Microsoft Windows Servers, Active Directory, Group Policies and Permissions. * Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written * Must be able to effectively work well with others * Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and set priorities * Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering (or applicable work experience)
