This position plays a key role in our equipment operations and overall production plant success. Maintenance Mechanic (Repair Technician) - Maintenance Technician (Equipment Mechanic) Job Responsibilities The Maintenance Mechanic will maintain and perform installation tasks on the physical plant, equipment, and machinery. We are looking for individuals who have passion for delivering 100% Customer Satisfaction through consistent and predictable high quality products. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment problems, performing scheduled (preventive) and unscheduled repairs, overhauling and installing new equipment, rebuilding and fabricating parts, and completing all work orders as well as equipment change-overs while maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Repair Technician duties will include: * Answering calls related to troubleshooting production equipment * Following any special instructions of engineering staff * Completing all related forms and paperwork prior to end of shift * Maintaining shop and shop equipment in a clean and safe condition * Ensuring all equipment is in a sanitary condition after performing work prior to release back to Production Dept. * Conducting test runs on all equipment after any work * Maintaining minimum tool list * Complying with all company policies and procedures, including safety and work rules Maintenance Mechanic (Repair Technician/Maintenance Technician/Equipment Mechanic) Job Requirements The Maintenance Mechanic should be results-driven and team-oriented. Multitasking is a "must" for success in this role. Employees may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or overtime as the business needs require. The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of good manufacturing practices and demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude. The Maintenance Mechanic / Repair Technician applicants must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as well as climb fixed and portable ladders, climb onto machinery, and enter/exit confined spaces. Basic computer skills are also required. Qualified candidates for the role of Maintenance Technician (Equipment Mechanic) must be licensed appropriately as required by the state, industry, city, or county, including a valid license to operate a forklift. Additional requirements of the Equipment Mechanic / Repair Technician include: * Trade or Vocational certification, preferred * Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferred * Minimum of 1 year of mechanical/electrical experience * Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting experience, preferred * Previous experience within a high-speed industrial environment * Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge, preferred * Knowledge of motors, pumps, fans, and power transmission devices (such as chains/sprockets, belts/pulleys, reducers) * General knowledge of industrial electricity (including ingle phase, three phase, and control wiring as well as the use of electrical meters) * Familiarity with safety precautions such as Lock-out/Tag-out, Arc Flash protection, and welding personal protective equipment * Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment Maintenance Mechanic (Repair Technician) - Maintenance Technician (Equipment Mechanic) Don't miss out on this tremendous opportunity - apply today!
