We are seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician for our Annapolis Undersea Systems Manufacturing and Test team. The Electrical Assembly Technician will assemble underwater acoustic, electrical, mechanical, fiber optic, and sensor assemblies. These assemblies include potted and oil filled cables and acoustic sensors for undersea use, bonded acoustic sensor arrays, chassis and vessel wiring, dry cable soldering and wiring, and hydraulic and coolant components and systems (test and cleaning of). Responsibilities include: Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions. MANUMS Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of additional relevant education and/or job-related experience Current Secret clearance Preferred Qualifications: At least one year of experience in electronic assembly Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
