Clearance Level: DoD Top Secret Desired Education: Bachelor's Degree Travel Requirements: No Travel Position Description Technica Corporation is looking for a highly motivated Java Developer to join our growing team to develop, support, and modernize mission-critical applications for our customer, a world-wide recognized organization responsible for law enforcement and intelligence efforts. The successful candidate will help to develop, deploy, and maintain mission critical applications. You will also provide support and technical advice during conceptualization, development, and implementation phases to transform requirements to working solutions. This includes involvement with users to define system scope and objectives, as well as contributing to design decisions. In this role, you will use your Java/Web development experience to develop, deploy, and maintain mission critical applications. Essential Job Duties: Work on new Java development and re-engineering efforts, including making system design decisions Implement enhancements to existing system in addition to coordinating with other developers working in parallel and perform QA/testing as needed Provide software development services on all tiers (UI, Java, Oracle) Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science preferred) Active Top Secret Clearance (Will be required to sit for CI Polygraph after hire) Minimum 3 years software development experience Minimum 2 years Java experience Java/JEE development, software engineering and problem solving Experience with web-based development for Java applications, specifically user interface (UI/UX) design Experience and familiarity with modern web-based development frameworks or component libraries Java/JEE development, software engineering and problem solving experience Desired Additional Skills and/or Certifications: Experience with Adobe/Apache Flex Experience with Java Swing, JavaFX, Rich Client Platforms (such as NetBeans, Eclipse, Flash/Flex Experience with Eclipes, Query, Bootstrap/AngularJS, JSF, Hibernate, Subversion (SVN), Apache Ant, WebSphere, JBoss, and JSP UX (user experience) design Experience with Spring/Struts frameworks, RESTful services Experience working in a large, enterprise environment Some of the benefits this position provides include: Work with the US Intelligence Community to support and improve systems critical to national security and public safety.
