Louviere, Stratton and Yokel, LLC, a small architectural firm in Silver Spring, MD (metro accessible) is conducting a search for a Bookkeeper/ Administrator.  The ideal candidate will have a general accounting/bookkeeping background, be detail-oriented, possess strong professional written and oral communication skills, be organized and thrive in a fast-paced working environment.

The bookkeeper/administrator is responsible for full-cycle accounting. Their responsibilities include managing all aspects of general ledger, bank reconciliation, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, as well as handling payroll information, credit card statements, and cash flow. They may also be called upon for various other miscellaneous duties.

The Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
  • Assist with payroll, benefit accruals, and flexible spending accounts
  • Monitor and post Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions
  • Enter vendor invoices and process checks
  • Make and record deposits
  • Other miscellaneous projects


  • A College degree or a minimum of 24 hours in accounting course credits
  • 3+ years bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Desktop
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong analytical, communication and math skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must be highly organized and able to multi-task effectively
