  • This position has a requirement to perform routine and emergency daily duties while wearing a uniform.
  • This position requires law enforcement certification and completion of the Department of the Army Civilian Police (DACP)/U.S. Army Military Police Law Enforcement Academy.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 45 pounds in the regular performance of duties.
  • This position requires certification in the operation of various radar equipment.
  • This position requires certification in the use of chemical aerosol irritants and tear gas.
  • This position requires certification in the operation of the Model 5000 Intoxilyzer Breathalyzer.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

    In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.     SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess one year of specialized experience which includes law enforcement operations, practices and techniques to prevent, detect and investigate violations of law, rules and regulations; analyze emergency situations, and coordinate law enforcement activities, and interpret regulations to determine the enforcement of appropriate laws. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).

    Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-08).
