The National Psoriasis Foundation is a dynamic and growing non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis and supporting those impacted by psoriatic disease. Headquartered in Portland, OR, and having an international presence, the Foundation is seeking a full time Patient-Centered Research Manager. This individual will have the opportunity to manage and grow our patient-focused research activities. Ideally, this position would be located in our Virginia/DC area office or at our Portland headquarters, but remote locations may be considered for strong candidates.
This position will be overseeing our patient surveys, including survey development and implementation; providing analysis, reporting and presenting on survey data; and contributing as an author on survey results for scientific manuscripts and Foundation materials.
The Patient-Centered Research Manager will be responsible for tracking and reporting of new psoriatic disease developments; providing data analysis support for research studies; tracking of psoriatic disease statistics for Foundation messaging; assisting with scientific meetings and other departmental responsibilities: and identifying new opportunities for engaging patients with researchers and scientists.
This role will be responsible for managing and growing our on-line crowd-sourced research platform site (Citizen Pscientist) with patients sharing disease-related experiences. Responsibilities will include managing data and conducting statistical analysis; facilitating research with external scientific collaborators; creating and integrating new content into the platform; and managing collaboration to support data validation and publications.
Requirements include a Master’s degree in public health, biostatistics or similar with 3+ years of relevant work; experience with data analysis / reporting tools and statistical software (SPSS familiarity preferred); and creating and implementing surveys. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; strong project management skills; and the ability to work in a team environment. Experience working with volunteers is preferred.
