National Science Teachers Associated located in Arlington, VA seeks highly qualified candidates for the position of eCybermission (eCM) Manager, Volunteer Programming. This position is Grant-Funded. The eCM Competition creates a virtual learning experience for Grade 6-9 students providing them a rich real-world opportunity to collaborate with classmates investigating local community problems using scientific inquiry or engineering design to propose solutions to those problems. This position will report directly to the eCM Project Manager to develop and execute a strategic plan to meet the annual goals set forth by the Army.  This position will oversee and coordinate the work of the Volunteer Outreach Specialist and the Volunteer Coordinator to establish short and long-range goals to achieve an outreach strategy to meet the eCM volunteer objectives and will monitor those goals. Overnight travel will be required anywhere in the contiguous United States (potentially 15 or more trips per year) which will include some Roadshows at Military Installations, outreach at select conferences, on-site meetings with the sponsor and staying onsite during the week long National Judging and Educational Event in June. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent customer service, writing and presentation skills.  Supervisory skills required.  Potential for one telework day per week after being on-site for one year. Additional duties as requested by Project Manager. Bachelor’s degree required. Five to ten years’ experience in management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
