Let's make an impact together.Perspecta is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories Responsibilities Preparation of timely and accurate consolidated monthly financial statements in accordance with US GAAPPerform the month-end close and consolidation processConsolidate, review and analyze subsidiary financial submissionsEnsure accuracy of post-close adjustments and elimination journal entries in BPCPrepare and review work papers and documentary evidence developed in support of the SEC filings and SOX controlsProvide support to the SEC Reporting team as requestedSupport the internal and external audit and quarterly review process by resolving questions and providing requested schedules in a timely mannerMaintain compliance with internal controls, policies and proceduresMaintain up-to-date process documentation for all tasks; recommend and implement process improvements, as appropriate, to simplify, standardize and streamline effortsSupport ad hoc financial information requests and analyses Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in accounting with 2-4 years of experience in a finance or accounting related position, MS degree 0-2 years exprience or HS diploma or equivalent with 8-10 years experienceFinancial reporting experience is requiredConsolidation experience is requiredPublic accounting experience is strongly preferredCPA's preferredCostPoint experience is preferredExternal audit experience is preferredStrong understanding of US GAAP and SEC regulations and their application to the preparation of financial statementsSelf-starter that thrives in a fast-past environmentSound attention to detail and strong analytic abilities necessaryHighly-developed excel skills and ability to learn new software rapidlyPrior experience in consolidations is required and BPC experience highly-desirableStrong personal computer and business solutions software skills Strong communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work Ability to work independently and as part of a team #LI*LI
