Overview We are hiring a Dental Hygienist for our affiliated practice, Dental One Associates, located in Oxon Hill, Maryland 20745. This is a full-time position. Candidate must have an active Dental Hygienist license for the state of Maryland. For many years, our family dental care practice has provided a full range of general dentistry services, cosmetic dental procedures, braces, and anxiety-reducing sedation dentistry. Our highly skilled dentists in Oxon Hill provide all of these dental services for adults, adolescents, and children, starting at the age of three. Our numerous dental services and family-focused care have made our practice into one convenient local dentist office for families throughout the community. All of our friendly Oxon Hill dentists and hygienists are knowledgeable and gentle, while our helpful office staff makes treatment convenient and comfortable. We're strongly committed to providing each and every patient with a satisfying dental experience, from the friendly greeting patients receive when calling for appointments, to the warm office environment that welcomes each and every patient, and the affordable dental care from our exceptional dentists. Responsibilities Essential responsibilities include: Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work. Patient screening, medical history and dental charting. Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line. Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease. Other duties as required Qualifications Desired Skills: Hands on experience as a Hygienist, prefer 1+ years Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene school. Current state license.
