  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Life Cycle Logistics Level III. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • GS-15 LEVEL
    Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector having subject matter expertise applying all Integrated Logistics Support elements which include Product Support Management, Sustaining Engineering Maintenance Planning, Manpower and Personnel, Supply Support, Tech Data, Support and Test Equipment, Training and Training Support, Computer Resources Support, Design Interface, Facilities and/or Infrastructure, Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation. Specialized experience must include all of the following: 1) Developing strategies to improve operational availability, reliability, or supply posture which ultimately reduces the logistics footprint, improve the supply posture and increase readiness ; 2) Developing templates used to implement tactical and strategic, short, mid, and long-term integrated logistics support plans; 3) Providing guidance on acquisition and life cycle logistics support plan development and execution to ensure that programs fully address and consider all Integrated Logistics Support elements; 4) Managing lifecycle support costs to improve sustainability driving standardization and commonality to provide effective, efficient support within resource constraints and eliminate the need to create unique processes or procedures; and 5) Directing the development of supply support plans, concepts of operations, and lifecycle logistics analysis of alternatives, which will continue to evolve during the lifespan of the platform or system.

    GS-14 LEVEL
    Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying expert knowledge of all Integrated Logistics Support elements which include Product Support Management, Sustaining Engineering Maintenance Planning, Manpower and Personnel, Supply Support, Tech Data, Support and Test Equipment, Training and Training Support, Computer Resources Support, Design Interface, Facilities and/or Infrastructure, Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation. Specialized experience must include all of the following: 1) Knowledge of supply system processes for planning and leading team efforts; 2) Assist in developing requirements, maintaining progress, and meeting acquisition decision process review requirements; 3) Establish short and long-range logistics goals by developing resource requirements, identifying shortfalls and developing reisk mitigation strategies; and 4) Prepare and deliver highly technical oral and written briefs to high-ranking officials.
